ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2022-2023 SPRING SEMESTER
2022-2023 Spring Semester Online Applications will start on 12.12.2022. Registrations can be made until 20th January, 2023 via the link below:

The language of the program is Turkish.
Application Requirements
Candidates who have a graduate degree with a thesis can apply to the program. For those, who studied abroad, it is required to have an equivalency certificate given by YÖK (High Education Board).
ALES certificate of the last 5 years (A score of 55 and above)
ALES is not required for PhD graduates. ALES score is accepted as 75 for PhD degree holders.
ALES score is accepted as 75 for foreign students.
Applicants who hold a Master’s Degree, should have a grade point average of at least 3 out 4.
Applicants should have a language score of minimum 55 and above from the exams accepted by YÖK (High Education Board).

About the Entrance Exam
Entrance Exam Date (written): 21.01.2023
Oral Exam Date : 23.01.2023 (Time of the exam will be announced later)
Place of Exam : Institute for Sufi Studies / Üsküdar University South

Evaluation
Candidates will be ranked according to the scores obtained by taking 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate grade score average and 30% of the entrance exam score. Additionally 30% of the entrance exam (20% written and 10% oral) will be added to the score.
Candidates who scored below 50 out of 90 are not qualified for the oral exam. At the end of the evaluation, those who score at least 70 points, are ranked to the quota accordingly.
About the Language Proficiency
Students who have been admitted to the PhD program will be obliged to document their proficiency in at least one of the languages of Ottoman Turkish, Arabic or Persian, which are considered as the research languages of the program.
Announcement of Exam Results
The result of the exam will be notified to the candidates via e-mail on Thusday, January 26th, 2023.
Registration Process
Students who are eligible to enroll in the program can apply to the Student Affairs between January 30th to February 10th, 2023.
