The Scope of the Course
Known as Muhyiddin (the “revivifier of religion”) and shaykh al-akbar (the “great master”) mystic, philosopher, poet and sage Muhammad bin Ali Ibn Arabi, is one of the world’s great spiritual teacher of all times.
He wrote over 350 works including Fusus al-Hikam, an exposition of the inner meaning of the wisdom of the prophets in the Judaic/Christian/Islamic line. The book was composed in 1229, about 10 years before his death. Consisting only of 27 chapters, the book is incomprably smaller that his other masterpiece, al-Futuhat al Makkiyah, but its importance as an expression Ibn Arabi's mystical thought in its most mature form cannot be overemphasized.
